  2. Ah coffee bars. I remember my skiffle band playing in one in Soho in 1958 and the customers throwing spoons at us to try to make us stop.

  3. No, we weren't good enough for the 2Is. We were called The Buzzards. Our biggest self-penned song included the immortal lines: "It's been twenty one years I've worked on this plantation/ And it don't seem a day too long"! Oh, us south east london lads understood the sufferings of slavery.
