Rambling Gambling Gordon
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of Scotland to miss out. Pity. If I'd seen you, I'd have said hello.
Yes but not as complete an absence as in Wales and Northern Ireland. In any case, I'll be flying from the south of France to the northern tip of North Scotland (and giving the talk) all on the same day. I'm sure it'd be a far shorter journey for you...

Less than Bob is, however, Gordon!

ReplyDeleteAfraid it’s going to have to be another time. (Who knows – maybe at the Òran Mór in Glasgow?)
Your choice. But I really think this is probably my last tour. They're tough. I may not be quite as old as Bob but he has a team behind him and money no object. I have Sarah, who sends me out with clean clothes and moral support and is indispensible, but everything else, necessarily all done on a very thrifty scale, is down to me, including all the driving.

ReplyDeleteTough indeed.
Good luck with it anyway. (And may the sun shine in Stornoway...)
It's time I saw one of these again. I'll catch a late gig on this tour. If you haven't been you really should grab the chance as it's a great evening - simultaneously enlightening and entertaining.

Well done, you've done something Britan has tried to do for centuries. You knocked Ireland off the map.
ReplyDeleteYes, because this is a UK tour.
